Overrun brake CB 260 Accessories for CB 260 Cable Box

The CB 260 overrun brake is used to control the braking of the cable reel and prevents uncontrolled unwinding of cables or individual wires – both during use and transport.
The brake is activated by pressing and moving it to the right. In this state, the reel filled with cable or individual wires is reliably braked and the unwinding speed is reduced. To deactivate, simply press and move to the left, allowing the reel to run freely again.
The red brake pad works with a contact pressure function, is designed as a wear part and can be easily replaced if necessary. A second red replacement insert is included in the scope of delivery. Replacement can be carried out without dismantling the overrun brake: use a narrow flat-head screwdriver to gently lift the insert, move it in the direction of the arrow and remove it.
