The FTTH crimping pliers were specially developed for processing the RUNPOTEC FTTH crimp sleeves and for the secure connection of fibre optic cables to the FTTH pulling tape Ø 3,3 mm. The precisely matched crimping stages ensure a reliable and resilient connection between fibre optic cables of different diameters and the pulling tape.
To use, the crimp sleeve is pushed over the fibre optic cable and then pressed with the FTTH crimping pliers. Depending on the cable diameter, the crimp sleeve is processed step by step with crimping stages 1 to 3. Each stage is crimped twice towards the cable end to ensure an optimum connection.
"Tab 1" of the crimp sleeve is then passed through the eye, hooked in and permanently crimped with crimping stage 4. This creates a secure and resilient connection between fibre optic cable and pulling tape that prevents it from tearing out during the pulling process.
In combination with the FTTH pulling tape Ø 3,3 mm and the matching FTTH crimp sleeves, this connection method enables the installation of fibre optic cables without blowing technology in buildings or for feeder lines from distribution cabinets over a length of up to 120 m. The ergonomically shaped handles ensure comfortable handling and optimum power transmission during the crimping process. As a result, the FTTH crimping pliers enable fast, safe and professional processing in FTTH and fibre optic installations.
